Durham, North Carolina, United States, November 13, 2024 – Cypress Creek Renewables, a prominent player in solar and storage, has officially named Mike Discenza as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 2024. Discenza initially joined Cypress Creek in May 2024 as interim CFO before transitioning into the permanent role.
Discenza brings over two decades of experience in infrastructure and renewable energy finance. Previously, he served as CFO and later President at Transurban North America, where he managed a business generating over $250 million in revenue and successfully directed financing plans supporting more than $5 billion in capital projects. His extensive background includes senior roles at GeoGlobal Energy, H2Gen Innovations, the White House Office of Management and Budget, and the U.S. Export-Import Bank.

Discenza earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Colgate University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
