New Delhi, India, April 2026 — Mankind Pharma has appointed Dr. Birendra Singh as Global Chief Quality Officer, expanding his leadership responsibilities across the organization’s global quality ecosystem.
In his new role, Dr. Singh will oversee Global Quality, Global Pharmacovigilance, Corporate IT Compliance, Corporate Quality Assurance (CQA), Corporate Quality Control (CQC), digital transformation initiatives, quality culture, and operational excellence. His mandate spans support for more than 32 manufacturing sites and seven R&D centers across the organization.
Dr. Singh has been associated with Mankind Pharma for nearly five years. Prior to his appointment as Global Chief Quality Officer, he served as Senior President and earlier as President & Global Quality Head, leading enterprise-wide quality, compliance, and quality transformation initiatives.
Before joining Mankind Pharma, he spent more than five years with Intas Pharmaceuticals, where he served as Group Head, Quality and earlier as Senior Vice President – Corporate Quality. During his tenure, he led Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Corporate Quality, Corporate Compliance, Computer System Validation (CSV), Digital Transformation, and IT Compliance functions.
Earlier, Dr. Singh served as Cluster Head – Quality at Zydus Group, where he led quality operations across multiple manufacturing facilities, including oral solid dosage, soft gel, nasal, aerosol, transdermal, injectable, and vaccine manufacturing units.
Prior to that, he spent eight years with Panacea Biotec Ltd. as Vice President – Quality, leading group-wide quality functions encompassing Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and regulatory quality operations.
Across a career spanning more than two decades, Dr. Singh has built extensive expertise in global quality management, quality assurance, quality control, corporate compliance, pharmacovigilance, regulatory quality systems, manufacturing quality, digital transformation, IT compliance, operational excellence, and quality leadership within the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Singh holds a PhD in Science from Kumaun University and has completed Business Leadership studies at Harvard Business School.
