In this strategic leadership role, Salil will oversee Sales, Marketing, and allied functions, leading a strong team of nearly 2,300 professionals. His appointment marks a significant milestone as Zuventus, one of India’s fastest-growing pharmaceutical companies, continues its journey of sustainable growth and commercial excellence.
Salil brings with him nearly three decades of rich experience in the pharmaceutical industry. At Sun Pharmaceuticals, he most recently served as Vice President & Cluster Head and earlier as Associate Vice President, where he successfully managed a diversified portfolio with a multi-specialty approach across key therapeutic areas, including gastroenterology, pain management, neuropsychiatry, anti-infectives, and respiratory. He was responsible for driving a business revenue of ₹1,700 crore while managing several category-leading mega brands listed among the top 200 in the Indian Pharmaceutical Market (IPM).
Before Sun Pharma, Salil contributed significantly at Croslands Research, where he honed his expertise in product portfolio expansion, market development, and brand positioning. His leadership extended across varied business units, enabling him to craft strategies that combined market intelligence with high-performance execution.
Earlier, during his tenure at Win Medicare, Salil deepened his experience in sales operations, therapeutic portfolio management, and market penetration strategies. His ability to lead business turnarounds, foster high-performing teams, and strengthen organizational competitiveness positioned him as a trusted business leader in the pharmaceutical sector.
With his vast knowledge of diverse geographies, strong leadership skills, and passion for building teams, Salil is set to play a crucial role in shaping Zuventus Healthcare’s next phase of growth and strengthening its presence in both existing and emerging markets.
