Pune, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 – OPmobility has appointed Samir Pagey as Country HR Director for the Exterior & Lighting Business in India. In this role, he will lead the human resources agenda for the company’s Exterior and Lighting business operations in the country, supporting organizational growth, talent development, leadership capability building, culture transformation, and strategic workforce initiatives.
With nearly two decades of experience across the automotive, engineering, manufacturing, and consulting sectors, Pagey brings extensive expertise in HR strategy, organizational development, succession planning, stakeholder management, business partnering, and people transformation.
Prior to joining OPmobility, Samir Pagey served as Director Human Resources – Country HR at HELLA India, where he led the people strategy across multiple business groups in India. In this capacity, he supported three manufacturing plants, a corporate office, and three R&D centers located in Pune, Chennai, and Coimbatore. His responsibilities encompassed talent management, leadership development, change management, organizational effectiveness, and culture-building initiatives across a geographically diverse workforce.
Before HELLA, Pagey spent more than nine years with FORVIA Faurecia, where he progressed through several leadership roles. He began as Plant HR Manager and was subsequently promoted to Regional HR Manager, overseeing HR operations for a regional business unit and multiple manufacturing facilities across India. Later, as Deputy Director Human Resources – Faurecia Technical Centre India, he served as Site HR Head and HR Business Partner for the company’s engineering and technical center in Pune, supporting a workforce of more than 2,000 employees. During this period, he played a key role in talent development, succession planning, business partnering, and organizational growth initiatives.
Earlier in his career, he worked with General Motors as Deputy Manager HR, where he contributed to workforce management and HR operations within the automotive sector. This experience provided valuable exposure to global manufacturing practices and large-scale people management frameworks.
Prior to General Motors, Pagey was associated with Accurate Gauging & Instruments (Accurate Group) as Deputy Manager HR, managing HR operations for the corporate office in Pune and multiple manufacturing facilities. He gained extensive experience in industrial relations, employee engagement, workforce planning, and HR administration across manufacturing environments.
He began his professional journey with Aristalaos Strategic Solutions, an HR consulting organization, where he worked as a Senior Business Analyst. This role enabled him to develop a strong foundation in HR consulting, organizational diagnostics, business analysis, and people strategy, which later supported his transition into senior HR leadership roles within multinational organizations.
