Prior to joining Bandhan Bank, Surya served as Head – Financial Institutions at Aon, leading rewards, performance, and organization consulting for banking clients in India. Before that, he was Director, Rewards and Organization Effectiveness for the Middle East and Africa at Aon, where he advised top financial institutions on compensation, leadership development, and talent analytics.

Surya’s career also includes key roles at Commonwealth Bank, HSBC Commercial Banking, and Citibank India, where he gained strong expertise in corporate banking, financial structuring, and relationship management. His extensive HR consulting experience, coupled with his banking industry insights, positions him well to enhance talent strategies, optimize performance frameworks, and elevate employee experience at Bandhan Bank as it continues its rapid expansion and commitment to financial inclusion.
