Melanie Martinelli is a globally respected learning strategist and the CEO of the Institute for Transfer Effectiveness. With over 18 years of experience in Learning & Development, she specialises in creating transfer-effective, results-based learning programmes for global organisations. Melanie is also the Founder of Going Beyond Training GmbH, where she integrates practical cross-cultural insights with deep expertise in learning design, training evaluation, and transfer measurement. Certified in the Kirkpatrick Four Levels® Evaluation Model (Gold Level), she helps L&D leaders shift from training as an event to learning as a strategic business enabler.

Her international journey spans over two decades of living and working abroad, contributing richly to her second career as a trainer, university lecturer, and consultant in areas such as intercultural communication, DEI, leadership, trust, and negotiation. Melanie also serves as a Global Program Facilitator with Reina Trust Building®, a Senior Consultant at Vantage Partners, and a Guest Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. Her passion lies in enabling organisations to design learning experiences that not only engage but truly deliver measurable impact and behavioural change.
