London, England, United Kingdom, March 2025 – James Branwood has taken on a new role as Vice President – Talent Acquisition Lead for Private Markets, EMEA at BlackRock. In this position, James will lead recruitment strategies for BlackRock Alternatives—including Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Credit, Private Equity, and Multi-Alternatives Solutions—as well as Global Trading functions across the EMEA region.
Prior to this, James was with Goldman Sachs for over three years, where he served as Talent Acquisition Lead for Asset Management Experienced Hires in EMEA. He played a critical role in sourcing senior-level investment talent and building hiring frameworks to support Goldman’s expanding asset management platform.

Before joining Goldman Sachs, he worked at Michael Page as a Business Manager, focusing on financial services recruitment. His responsibilities spanned executive search and contingent hiring for global banking and asset management clients. His consultative approach helped deepen client relationships and scale key talent solutions across investment and advisory domains.
James also held leadership roles in talent acquisition at Sheridan Maine, REED, and Templegate Recruitment, where he focused on the finance and investment sectors. His career began at Heat Recruitment, and he has accumulated more than a decade of experience driving recruitment success in financial services across both the UK and broader European markets.
