Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States, July 2025 – Sara J. Kennedy has joined Chartwell Law as the new Chief Human Resources Officer. In her new role, Sara will lead HR strategy and talent development initiatives across the firm’s 30+ offices nationwide, aligning people programs with the firm’s continued growth and commitment to excellence.
Prior to this, Sara was Director of HR Operations at Penn State Health, where she advised senior leadership and the Hospital President on HR strategy, led HR operations for a $4B revenue healthcare system, and played a pivotal role in employee engagement, M&A, and talent integration efforts for over 10,000 employees.
Previously, she served as SVP, Associate Experience at Members 1st Federal Credit Union for over five years. At Members 1st, she directed a 30-member team and was part of the top executive leadership group driving the organization’s strategy. She implemented robust performance and compensation frameworks, executed DEIB initiatives, and introduced leadership development programs aligned with business objectives.
Earlier, Sara held the role of Director of Human Resources at Philadelphia Mixing Solutions, where she partnered with the CEO and senior leadership team to redesign compensation structures, implement global HR strategies, and introduce performance-based reward systems that drove measurable growth.
Her HR career also spans impactful roles at The AMES Companies, Crump Life Insurance Services, and UPS, where she led HR operations, talent development, and employee engagement across diverse industries and geographies. Her rich experience equips her to guide Chartwell Law’s people strategy as the firm scales its legal operations.
