Prior to joining The Premier League, Lucy served for over seven years as Head of HR & Training at Ascot Racecourse, where she was the most senior HR leader onsite. She led a team of 12 and supported over 2,000 event staff and 250 core employees, reporting directly to the CEO. Her leadership was instrumental in shaping the organization’s people strategy, managing large-scale change initiatives, and embedding a strong culture of employee engagement.

Before her time at Ascot, she worked at Toshiba, where she progressed from HR Business Partner to Senior HR Business Partner. Her responsibilities spanned strategic thinking, talent management, and stakeholder engagement during a critical phase of business transformation.

Lucy also held senior HR roles at Waterstones, Gala Coral Group, and Royal Academy of Arts, where she played a strategic role reporting to the CEO, managing budgets, and delivering key people projects to board members. Her early HR leadership at National Portrait Gallery and experience with organizations such as Christian Aid, John Lewis, and Sainsbury’s further solidified her foundation in employee relations, HR transformation, and policy development.

She continues to contribute to the cultural sector as Trustee (People & Capability) at Theatre Peckham, a leading London theatre, demonstrating her commitment to inclusive leadership and people development.
