Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 — Avinash Pandey has been appointed as Director at Laqshya Media Group, bringing with him a distinguished career spanning over 29 years across the broadcast, digital media, and advertising sectors. In his new role, he will provide strategic guidance on digital transformation, content monetization, and business growth for one of India’s leading integrated media enterprises.
Most recently, he served as Senior Advisor – Media Practices at Primus Partners India, where he led key initiatives in media strategy and business transformation. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive Officer at ABP Network, where he was instrumental in driving a 35% revenue growth and launching multiple digital and satellite news channels, including ABP Ganga and ABP Sanjha. He also played a pivotal role in building state-of-the-art studios and expanding into South Indian markets with digital-first platforms.
Before being elevated to CEO, Pandey served as Chief Operating Officer at ABP Network and led several initiatives including international expansion, brand transformation, and the launch of live events and podcasts. Under his leadership, ABP Sanjha launched in Canada, and new revenue verticals were established through digital-first content and strategic media innovations.
His career journey began at The Indian Express, followed by key stints at TV Today Network, where he was part of the founding team of India’s first 24-hour Hindi news channel, Aaj Tak. He later played a strategic role in launching Headlines Today, India’s first 24-hour English news channel. He has also held leadership roles in various industry bodies such as the International Advertising Association (IAA), News Broadcasters & Digital Association (NBDA), and Digital News Publishers Association (DNPA).
A graduate of Delhi University with a Master’s in Modern Indian History, Avinash has also completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School, equipping him with global perspectives in business leadership and strategy.
