Gurugram, Haryana, India, September 2025 — WPP Media has announced the appointment of Vinish Mathews as Head – Team Fulcrum, South Asia. Based in Gurugram, Vinish will lead strategic planning, client engagement, and innovative media solutions across the region.
Bringing over 22 years of leadership experience across India, China, and Southeast Asia, Vinish has built a reputation for driving impactful media strategies and managing large-scale regional brand portfolios. His expertise spans FMCG, Technology, FinTech, E-Commerce, Consumer Durables, Automotive, and Tourism, with proven success in media investment planning, strategic brand management, and designing immersive consumer campaigns.
Prior to joining WPP Media, Vinish served as Chief Strategy Officer at Mindshare India, where he guided transformative strategies for global and domestic clients. Earlier, he held leadership roles at Essence as Vice President – Client Partner for Google INSEA, and at Mindshare China as Managing Director, where he managed portfolios including Nestlé, PepsiCo, Essilor, Royal Caribbean, and Tourism New Zealand while leading Alibaba Group’s outbound business across APAC, Europe, and North America.
Vinish’s earlier career includes leadership at Mindshare India – Team Unilever, where he was instrumental in shaping strategic media planning and client management across Unilever’s personal care brands. He also gained strong foundations in media planning and client leadership at The Media Edge, Rediffusion Y&R, and started his career with The New Indian Express, managing advertising sales for financial sector clients.
