Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Amrita Ganguly has been appointed as Chief Diversity Officer and Internal Communications at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, where she will lead the company’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda alongside internal communications to strengthen belonging and engagement across the organization.
Amrita has been part of the Tata Motors journey since 2023, where she served as Chief Diversity Officer for the broader group, championing DEI initiatives anchored on commitment, co-creation, and celebration. In her new role, she will continue to expand these efforts while overseeing communication strategies that reinforce inclusive practices across the commercial vehicles division.
Previously, Amrita was Head of Partnerships at Tata Steel Foundation, where she co-created narratives on next-generation development models and impact-driven initiatives tied to business imperatives and collective ownership. Before that, at Tata Steel Group, she led Communication Strategy, Internal Communication, and Content Management, steering the group’s strategic vision with effective engagement across global operations.
Her career also spans leadership roles in media and publishing. She served as Editor of Custom Content at DNA and Zee TV Cluster (ZMCL) and worked with India Today, Infomedia, World Wide Media, and Disney Publishing Worldwide, where she shaped multi-platform content strategies and managed brand storytelling.
In addition to her corporate and media leadership, Amrita has been a Guest Lecturer at media institutes and B-schools since 2002, mentoring future leaders in communication, change management, gender studies, and workplace DEI.
