Kolkata, India, October 2025 — Apollo Hospitals has appointed Debjyoti Ghosh as Chief Operating Officer, marking a significant addition to its senior leadership team. Prior to joining Apollo Hospitals, Debjyoti served as Hospital Director at Manipal Hospitals (MHEPL), where he led the Kolkata unit’s business and operations. His leadership was instrumental in streamlining processes, strengthening financial performance, and fostering a culture of efficiency and patient care.

Before Manipal, he was Vice President – Operations & Unit Head at Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata, overseeing the flagship unit’s P&L and operations while also managing Medica Ranchi during a key transition period. His tenure at Paras Hospital as Unit Head further enriched his experience in strategic planning and hospital management.

At Stemz Healthcare, Debjyoti held the role of Country Head for Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka, managing multinational healthcare operations and expansion initiatives. His earlier career with Columbia Asia Hospitals spanned over a decade, where he developed deep expertise in hospital diagnostics, quality management, and customer operations—laying the foundation for his later leadership in healthcare strategy.

Recognized for his focus on business process re-engineering, people management, and financial discipline, Debjyoti brings a results-oriented leadership style to Apollo Hospitals. His appointment aligns with Apollo’s mission to advance operational efficiency, strengthen healthcare delivery, and sustain its leadership in India’s healthcare ecosystem.
