Gurugram, Haryana, India, October 2025 — AECOM India has announced the appointment of Rakesh Kumar Yadav as Human Resources Director, marking a significant addition to the company’s leadership team. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades across India, the United States, and Malaysia, Rakesh brings deep expertise in human capital management, leadership development, workforce planning, and organizational transformation. In his new role, he will lead initiatives focused on employee learning and development, strategic HR planning, and cultivating a culture of agility and inclusion aligned with AECOM’s global mission to deliver a better world.
Before joining AECOM India, Rakesh served as Head of Human Resources at SYSTRA India, where he led the HR function for four years. During his tenure, he played a key role in shaping HR strategies for workforce development, international mobility, and leadership succession planning. His efforts contributed to building organizational agility and enhancing engagement across the company’s diverse business verticals.
Prior to that, Rakesh spent nearly eleven years with Fluor Corporation, one of the world’s leading engineering and construction firms, where he held multiple leadership positions across India, Malaysia, and the United States. He led the HR function in global and regional capacities, including serving as Human Resources Director in Houston and Head of HR in Kuala Lumpur, driving global talent strategies, executive coaching, regulatory compliance, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. His extensive international experience enabled him to build cross-cultural HR frameworks and align business objectives with people capabilities across multiple geographies.
Earlier in his career, Rakesh worked with Ballarpur Industries Limited (BILT) as Deputy Manager – HR, where he strengthened HR processes around performance management and employee relations. He also served at Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited as Senior Officer – Human Resources, focusing on workforce planning and employee engagement. Rakesh began his professional journey with Kotak Mahindra Bank as a Sales Officer, where he developed his early business and client relationship skills, laying the foundation for his later success in people and organizational management.
At AECOM India, Rakesh will lead initiatives that integrate talent management, workforce learning, and leadership development with business performance goals. His focus will be on driving organizational transformation, enhancing employee experience, and reinforcing AECOM’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
