India, November 2025 – Mars has announced the appointment of Kalyan Undinty as Business Head – Organised Trade (eCommerce, Modern Trade & Strategic Sales). With nearly two decades of experience across FMCG, retail, and eCommerce, Kalyan will lead Mars’ organised trade and digital commerce business in India, driving customer partnerships, innovation, and category growth across both online and offline channels. His appointment reinforces Mars’ strategic focus on building an agile, data-driven, and consumer-centric ecosystem for sustainable business expansion in the region.
Before joining Mars, Kalyan Undinty served as Senior Vice President – eCommerce at WPP, where he spearheaded digital commerce transformation for several global brands, strengthening their omnichannel presence and digital growth frameworks. His leadership was instrumental in enabling large-scale eCommerce acceleration across categories, clients, and markets.
Previously, Kalyan spent over eight years at Reckitt, where he played multiple pivotal roles across geographies. As Global eCommerce Director, he drove digital channel growth in emerging markets, while as Regional Director for the DACH cluster (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), he delivered market share gains, built balanced customer portfolios, and achieved sustained profitability. He also served as Head of eCommerce India, where he scaled the business 10X in five years, making India one of Reckitt’s fastest-growing eCommerce markets globally.
Before his tenure at Reckitt, Kalyan worked with ITC Limited, where he led sales and marketing operations in the FMCG sector, winning multiple performance awards for market leadership and innovation. He began his career with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, where he developed industrial business operations, handling P&L, supply chain, and client partnerships across key territories.
Education
Kalyan Undinty holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal. His strong academic background in business strategy and engineering underpins his ability to blend analytical precision with commercial leadership.
