Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Safari Industries India Ltd. has appointed Manish Bhatia as its Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO). In his new leadership role, Manish will lead the company’s people and culture agenda with a strong focus on talent strategy, leadership development, and building a high-performance organization aligned with Safari Industries India’s growth ambitions.
With deep cross-sector experience across manufacturing, consumer, and retail businesses, Manish’s appointment reflects Safari’s intent to strengthen its leadership pipeline, culture, and workforce capabilities as the company advances toward its aggressive expansion goals in the Indian luggage and bags market.
Before joining Safari Industries India Ltd. as Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), Manish Bhatia served as CHRO – EVP HR at GREENPLY INDUSTRIES LIMITED, where he led end-to-end HR strategy and organizational transformation. Based in Mumbai, he played a key role in strengthening HR systems, culture-building, and leadership alignment to support business priorities.
Prior to Greenply, Manish spent over a decade at VIP Industries Limited, where he handled both business leadership and HR responsibilities across multiple senior roles. His assignments included Business Head – Institutional Trades & Ecommerce and Business Head – Institutional Trades, where he drove channel growth and institutional business strategy. He also served as Channel Head – CSD & CPC and Head – CPC Sales, managing key sales channels and partnerships.
In addition to business roles, Manish held significant HR leadership responsibilities at VIP Industries, including General Manager & Head – Corporate HR, Head Corporate HR, DGM – HR, and Sr. Manager – HR, giving him a rare blend of people strategy expertise alongside strong business-side execution capabilities.
Earlier in his career, he worked as an HR Leader at Delphi Automotive Systems Pvt Ltd, strengthening his grounding in HR leadership within the manufacturing ecosystem. He also served as HR Manager at Arvind Brands Ltd., further expanding his exposure to consumer and retail business dynamics. Manish began his HR journey with Bombay Dyeing, where he worked as Assistant Manager HR, building a strong base in HR operations and people management.
