New Delhi, Delhi, India, February 2026 — Gaurav Ajmani has started a new chapter in his career, joining Snap Inc. as Assistant General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for APAC and MEA. In this role, he will lead global compliance initiatives and support the company’s continued innovation and expansion across the region.
Marking the transition, Gaurav Ajmani expressed deep gratitude for his 12.5-year journey at Amazon, where he held senior legal and compliance leadership roles. During his tenure, he worked across complex regulatory, governance, and risk matters while supporting the company’s rapid growth across multiple businesses and geographies.
At Amazon, Gaurav Ajmani spent over a decade as Associate General Counsel, leading critical legal and compliance functions and helping the organization navigate complex regulatory environments across regions.
Prior to Amazon, he served as Investigations Senior Manager at Microsoft Corporation, where he led prevention, detection, and investigation of fraudulent activities across the APAC region. His work included building anti-corruption programs, strengthening compliance frameworks, and deploying data-driven anti-fraud controls in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Earlier in his career, Gaurav Ajmani headed Fraud Intelligence & Compliance at Bharti Airtel Limited, designing fraud detection models and enterprise risk controls, and began his professional journey with GE and Compare Infobase Limited in roles spanning risk, operations, and business development. He holds an MBA in International Business from All India Management Association.
