Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 — Abhinav Ravikumar has started a new position as Chief Marketing Officer, Personal Care India at Unilever, taking charge of one of the company’s most strategically important and consumer-facing portfolios in the country. In this leadership role, Abhinav will drive brand strategy, consumer relevance, innovation agenda, and growth outcomes across Unilever’s Personal Care business in India, building on a strong track record of business transformation across categories and channels.
Abhinav has been part of Unilever for nearly 14 years, steadily progressing across sales, trade strategy, brand leadership, regional innovation, and digital commerce. Immediately prior to this appointment, he served as Global Brand Director, Lux and Lifebuoy, where he shaped global brand direction for two iconic power brands, driving long-term brand equity, communication strategy, and portfolio modernization aligned with evolving consumer expectations across markets.
Before moving into global brand leadership, Abhinav led Unilever’s eCommerce and Prestige Retail business for India as General Manager, eCommerce India (Head, eCommerce). In this role, he was responsible for delivering channel growth, market share and profitability while leading a cross-functional team of 150+ professionals. He played a critical role in strengthening Unilever’s partnerships across marketplaces, quick commerce and beauty commerce platforms, while also driving internal digital transformation initiatives—ranging from predictive online availability systems and content scorecarding to technology-led automation in promotions and marketing integration.
Earlier, Abhinav served as Head, Home and Hygiene Innovation, South Asia (Regional Brand Director), leading long-term strategy, innovation pipelines, communication and brand equity for Unilever’s €250 million+ Home and Hygiene category across South Asia (including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan). He also held the role of Regional Brand Manager, Dishwash (Vim), acting as brand custodian and shaping product strategy, communication and proposition development across multiple markets in the region.
His earlier career includes impactful tenures as Senior Brand Manager, Rin + Sunlight Laundry, where he led P&L delivery and brand reinvention across major detergent brands, and Trade Category Manager, Homecare, where he drove market share gains through trade investments and activation strategies. Abhinav began his journey at Unilever through the Unilever Future Leadership Programme (UFLP), following an early internship stint focused on deodorants category strategy across multiple global markets—an experience that set the foundation for a high-impact career at the intersection of consumer insight, brand building and business growth.
