Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 – Aditya Goenka has been appointed as Managing Director at Standard Chartered, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished banking career. In this new role, Aditya will be responsible for driving strategic growth, building client relationships, and further strengthening Standard Chartered’s leadership in the financial services sector.
Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Aditya Goenka served as Managing Director at HSBC for one year. During his tenure at HSBC, he played a pivotal role in business development and enhancing the structured lending portfolio, focusing on expanding the bank’s reach and delivering innovative solutions for clients.
Before his stint at HSBC, Aditya held the position of Managing Director at Credit Suisse for nearly twelve years. At Credit Suisse, he was instrumental in developing and leading the structured lending business in India. His efforts were central to establishing new product lines, managing key client relationships, and building high-performing teams.
Earlier, Aditya spent close to eight years at Bank of America, where he served in multiple roles including Vice President in Debt Capital Markets and as a Credit Analyst. His work there included significant contributions to debt financing solutions for clients and deep expertise in capital markets and credit analysis.
Aditya’s professional journey began at IBM India Ltd as a Senior Executive, where he gained foundational experience that has shaped his strategic and analytical capabilities throughout his career.
Aditya holds an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore), one of India’s top business schools, which has equipped him with advanced leadership and financial management skills.
