Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, November 2024 – Adrienne Shaw Smith has been promoted to Vice President, Donor Engagement at United Way of Salt Lake. In her new role, Adrienne will focus on strengthening donor relationships, fostering community connections, and amplifying the impact of United Way’s work across the region.
Adrienne has been with United Way of Salt Lake for over five years, making significant contributions in her previous roles. Most recently, as Senior Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations, she successfully led strategic partnerships and developed innovative approaches to enhance corporate and foundation support. Prior to this, as Corporate Relations Director, Adrienne managed stakeholder engagement and cultivated lasting collaborations that furthered United Way’s mission.
Before joining United Way, Adrienne spent over three years at the YMCA of Greater New York as Director of the Annual Campaign, where she strategized and implemented fundraising efforts that significantly advanced the organization’s outreach and programs. Earlier, as a Fund Development Associate, she played a key role in donor cultivation and grant development.
Adrienne’s career began at the YMCA of Northern Utah, where she served as Marketing and Events Manager and Marketing and Events Coordinator, developing impactful campaigns and events. Her dedication to community engagement started with a year-long service as Marketing and Outreach Coordinator for AmeriCorps VISTA, followed by an internship with Major League Soccer.
