San Diego, California, United States, January 2026 – Alicia Gilliam has joined Smarter Technologies as the Head of Talent Acquisition, where she will lead the company’s global talent acquisition strategy amid a dynamic phase of growth and innovation in the healthcare automation sector.
Gilliam brings with her an impressive three-decade track record in global talent leadership roles across some of the world’s most admired technology companies. In her new role, she will spearhead talent acquisition efforts to build and scale high-impact teams across the organization, as Smarter Technologies continues to revolutionize healthcare revenue cycle management through AI and automation.
Prior to joining Smarter Technologies, Alicia Gilliam served as Vice President of Talent Acquisition for Global Customer Operations at Workday, where she also held critical leadership roles in Go-To-Market and Early Career hiring. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping Workday’s global early career strategy and driving talent transformation initiatives.
Before Workday, Alicia had a successful stint at ServiceNow, where she progressed from Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition for Sales and G&A to Global Executive Recruiting Lead and eventually served as Interim Global TA Leader, overseeing a global recruitment engine and leadership hiring programs. She played a critical role in building ServiceNow’s in-house executive search capabilities.
Her career has also spanned impactful roles at Nike, where she was Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition – Corporate Functions, leading global strategies across key business verticals. Previously at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, she held roles including Sr. Director – Global Strategic Sourcing and Director – Talent Acquisition, where she built high-performing sourcing teams and designed global recruitment frameworks supporting large-scale transformations.
Earlier in her career, Alicia led talent acquisition efforts at Booz Allen Hamilton, Wells Fargo, Peregrine, and Cardinal Health, consistently demonstrating her ability to scale global teams, drive diversity strategies, and transform hiring processes.
