Birmingham, Alabama, United States, September 2025 – Allison N. Washington has joined Priority Ambulance as Vice President Human Resources, bringing with her a robust track record of HR leadership across healthcare, education, and senior living sectors. In her new role, she will drive strategic human capital initiatives to support Priority Ambulance’s nationwide operations and ensure the continued growth of its emergency medical services teams.
In her most recent role at Global Medical Response, Allison served for approximately nine years as Senior Human Resources Manager, leading HR operations for over 2,500 employees across six states. She significantly enhanced operational efficiency, drove strategic workforce planning, and championed initiatives that led to a 22.9% reduction in turnover. Her efforts in assessing organizational capabilities and implementing actionable improvements were pivotal to business outcomes.
Prior to that, she held the position of Regional Human Resources Director at Education Corporation of America for approximately four years, where she managed HR operations for more than 70 campuses. Allison aligned performance management systems with corporate goals, leading to a 78% reduction in EEOC claims and collaborated closely with senior leadership to elevate talent planning and employee satisfaction.
Earlier, Allison spent five years at the University of Phoenix as Faculty, Lead Faculty, and Area Chair. She led full-time and adjunct faculty within the John Sperling School of Business, designing innovative learning experiences in organizational behavior and human capital development. Her academic contributions greatly improved student outcomes and institutional engagement.
She also dedicated six years to Brookdale Senior Living, where she served as District HR Director. There, she oversaw HR for three upscale retirement communities and was recognized nationally for exceptional associate retention and workplace safety. During her tenure, she was promoted three times and briefly stepped into the role of Interim Executive Director, demonstrating versatile leadership and operational acumen.
Allison N. Washington holds a Master of Science in Management – Human Resources from Faulkner University. Her diverse background across industries and her passion for organizational development make her an invaluable addition to Priority Ambulance’s leadership team.
