Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 — Amit Kulkarni has been appointed as Director – National Sales, West India at Marriott International, where he will lead sales strategy and partner engagement initiatives across the region. In this key leadership role based in Mumbai, Amit is expected to drive revenue growth and deepen customer relationships for one of the world’s largest hospitality brands.
This elevation reflects Amit’s exceptional decade-long career within Marriott International. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, where he successfully deployed digital-first sales strategies and data-led marketing initiatives that delivered strong business outcomes. Earlier, as Director – Sales Analytics & Strategy, South Asia, he contributed significantly to Marriott’s regional expansion efforts through data-driven insights and performance optimization.
Amit’s diverse journey within Marriott includes roles across Mumbai, Pune, and Bengaluru, including stints as Director of Sales and Resident Services Manager. His consistent focus on innovation, leadership, and client experience has distinguished him as a results-oriented professional in the hospitality industry.
Prior to joining Marriott, Amit held senior positions at Novotel Juhu Beach Mumbai, Ubiquity Hospitality, and Explore India Tourism. He began his career with global hospitality majors including Kamat Hotels India Ltd. and Accor at Novotel Sheffield. He holds a Master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Sheffield Hallam University, a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management from Glion Hotel School, and a Diploma in Hotel Management from Merit Swiss Asian School of Hotel Management.
