Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, July 2024 – Amit Sharma has started a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Gokaldas Exports Limited, a globally reputed apparel manufacturer known for its distinctive recognition for product, performance, processes, and people. Amit will play a pivotal role in shaping and streamlining the HR function, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
Amit brings extensive experience in HR leadership, having previously served as Vice President, Head – HR, India at Volvo Group. In this role, he provided strategic HR leadership across multiple business units, manufacturing operations, and Global Competency Centres. His key achievements include steering culture rejuvenation, enhancing HR team competency, and driving diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Before Volvo Group, Amit was Director Human Resources and India HR Head at TE Connectivity, where he managed HR for multiple business units and a global shared service center. He crafted India HR Strategy focusing on employer branding, capability building, and employee engagement.
Amit’s earlier roles include leadership positions at Philips, Johnson & Johnson, Indian Oil Corp Limited, and BILT. Throughout his career, Amit has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing organizational efficiency, developing talent, and fostering a positive work environment.
