Mumbai, India, March 2025 – Aniket Basu has been named as Chief Digital Officer (CDO) for the Consumer Products Division at L’Oréal. With a strong background in digital media, e-commerce, and technology leadership, Basu is set to drive L’Oréal’s digital transformation strategy and customer engagement initiatives in this pivotal role.
Aniket Basu has been with L’Oréal for nearly three years, previously serving as Digital Media Lead (South Asia Pacific, Middle East & North Africa). In this role, he was instrumental in developing regional digital strategies, optimizing media investments, and leading digital transformation initiatives across diverse markets.
Before joining L’Oréal, Basu worked at Essence, where he held leadership roles including Senior Director, Technology & E-Commerce, and Customer Success Senior Director, APAC. His tenure at Essence involved enhancing digital solutions, scaling e-commerce strategies, and driving data-driven marketing innovations.
Earlier, he spent over seven years at Wavemaker, where he served as Associate Digital Director, APAC, Digital Group Head, and Business Executive, working across various regions, including the Philippines and India. His expertise in programmatic advertising, digital strategy, and media planning contributed significantly to brand growth and market expansion.
In addition to his corporate experience, Basu was actively involved with IAB Southeast Asia and India, where he served on the Commerce Council and Technical Working Group, contributing to industry guidelines on user targeting and digital media evolution.
