With an extensive career in the bus and coach transport sector, Anna brings a wealth of experience from both family-owned enterprises and multinational operators, making her an exceptional addition to KBL’s leadership team. Her proven expertise in large-scale transport operations, workforce leadership, and community engagement will be instrumental in driving KBL’s continued success as a trusted transport service provider across Queensland and beyond.

In her new role, Anna will lead the company’s operational strategy, focusing on strengthening performance, service quality, and customer experience. Her appointment reflects KBL’s commitment to innovation, safety, and sustainable growth while upholding the company’s legacy as a family-owned leader in transport solutions since 1978.

Before joining Kangaroo Bus Lines, Anna Tyben served as General Manager – Queensland at ComfortDelGro Australia (CDC), one of the nation’s largest transport operators. Over a span of more than three years, she led statewide operations, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance across a vast network of services. Her leadership played a key role in strengthening CDC’s regional footprint and operational standards.

Previously, Anna spent over 12 years with Latrobe Valley Bus Lines (LVBL), where she served as General Manager. At LVBL, she oversaw a team of more than 120 employees, championing safety, accessibility, and service reliability. Under her leadership, the company maintained its reputation for operational excellence and strong community partnerships within the Victorian transport landscape.

Beyond her executive roles, Anna has been deeply involved in the broader transport community. She has served as a Board Member for the Bus Association Victoria, the Queensland Bus Industry Council, and Latrobe Women in Business, where she has advocated for industry advancement, inclusion, and leadership development—particularly for women in transport.

Her passion for leadership extends beyond her professional life—Anna is also an instructor at the German Shepherd Dog Club, where she trains and competes in obedience and IPO competitions, reflecting her commitment to discipline, teamwork, and excellence in every pursuit.

About Kangaroo Bus Lines

Founded in 1978, Kangaroo Bus Lines (KBL) is a family-owned and operated transport organization that has grown into a major provider of integrated transport solutions across Queensland and beyond. Over the past four decades, KBL has delivered exceptional services in charter, school, and event transport, built on a foundation of safety, reliability, and community trust.

The company has proudly contributed to landmark events such as the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where KBL worked alongside the State Government to transport VIPs and spectators with efficiency and precision, and the G20 Leaders Summit (2014), where it managed a fleet of 120 vehicles, coordinating transport for global leaders, delegates, and international media.

KBL continues to evolve with a focus on sustainable mobility and customer excellence, and Anna Tyben’s appointment as COO marks a new era of strategic leadership for the company’s future growth.
