Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 – Barnona Basu has joined Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited as Director – Marketing, marking a significant step in her illustrious career spanning over two decades in the pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing sector. In her new role, she will be responsible for spearheading Emcure’s marketing strategies, strengthening therapeutic portfolio positioning, and driving growth in key markets.
Prior to joining Emcure, Barnona Basu had an impressive 21-year tenure at Lupin India, where she held several senior leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Senior General Manager – PSP, following her role as Senior General Manager Marketing and Therapy Head, where she led brand and therapy initiatives across multiple therapeutic areas. Her earlier roles included General Manager Marketing, Deputy General Manager Marketing, and Product Management positions that saw her progressively scale the marketing function within the company.
Before Lupin, she worked with Sudler & Hennessey as Client Servicing Manager, managing client relationships and strategic communication for healthcare brands. She also served as Medical Content Specialist at Aristo Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., contributing to content development and knowledge dissemination across therapeutic domains.
Her early career includes her role as Medico Marketing Associate at Ranbaxy, where she began her journey in pharmaceutical brand strategy and product marketing.
