Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 – Bijender Vats has started a new position as HR Head – India & SW Asia at FMC Corporation, a global agricultural sciences company dedicated to sustainable crop protection. In his new role, Bijender will lead human resources strategy and execution across key geographies, focusing on talent development, cultural transformation, and HR innovation to drive business outcomes in the region.
Bijender brings over 25 years of diverse leadership experience, most recently serving as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Crystal Crop Protection Limited, where he led global HR and administrative functions. His strategic interventions enabled the company’s growth across domestic and international markets, particularly in strengthening leadership pipelines and driving performance culture.
Prior to that, Bijender spent more than 17 years with MSD, where he rose through the ranks to become Director – HR and DE&I Lead for the India Region. He played a pivotal role in embedding inclusive leadership practices, streamlining talent management systems, and aligning HR strategy with business priorities across multiple functions and sites in India.
Earlier in his career, he worked in frontline leadership roles at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Novartis, and Cipla, gaining first-hand experience in business operations and people management. This strong foundation in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors shaped his understanding of business-linked HR, which has remained a hallmark of his leadership style.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Bijender is known for his deep commitment to talent strategy, organizational development, and employee engagement across fast-evolving industries.
