San Francisco Bay Area, United States, September 2025 – NetApp has announced the appointment of Charlotte Gerstner as its new Vice President, Global Talent Management. In her new role, she will lead NetApp’s global talent management strategy, focusing on engaging, developing, and retaining high-performing talent worldwide while building the infrastructure to support the company’s growth objectives.
Charlotte joins NetApp after a successful tenure at Chevron, where she most recently served as General Manager, Executive Development. In this role, she partnered with senior leaders to define strategies for developing enterprise executives and accelerating succession planning. Before that, she was Enterprise Talent Management Lead, where she designed and implemented an integrated enterprise talent strategy aligned with Chevron’s corporate goals. Over her six years with the company, she played a pivotal role in shaping leadership development and workforce planning.
Prior to Chevron, Charlotte was a Partner at RHR International, specializing in executive development, leader succession, and global talent management. This followed nearly five years at Korn Ferry International as Senior Client Partner, where she advised organizations on leadership, assessment, and talent solutions across industries.
Earlier in her career, Charlotte spent over a decade at PDI Ninth House, where she rose to the role of Vice President and Managing Director after serving as Senior Consultant. She focused on executive assessment and development, succession planning, and organizational leadership strategies. She began her professional journey as a Senior Consultant at Applied Psychological Techniques (APT) and a Research Assistant at Xerox, gaining early expertise in organizational psychology and talent research.
Charlotte holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Penn State University and a B.S. in Psychology and French from Louisiana State University. Her strong academic foundation has underpinned her career-long focus on integrating psychology into leadership development and talent strategy.
