Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 2026 — CHERY has appointed Sameera Sohaili as Head of HR, marking a significant milestone in her leadership journey within the organization. She has assumed the role in February 2026, based in Dubai.
Prior to this elevation, Sohaili served as Human Resources Business Partner at CHERY, where she supported strategic HR initiatives and contributed to strengthening people practices within the organization. Her appointment as Head of HR reflects the company’s confidence in her ability to drive HR strategy aligned with business growth in the automotive sector.
Before joining CHERY, Sohaili spent over a decade with Al-Futtaim, where she held multiple HR leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Human Resources Business Partner, leading HR strategies across business units and driving performance culture, succession planning, compensation and benefits frameworks, and employer branding initiatives.
Earlier at Al-Futtaim, she worked as HR Business Partner – Retail Fashion MENA and supported Fashion MENA and Watsons GCC portfolios, managing HR operations for 800+ employees across 110 locations in seven countries. Her responsibilities included manpower planning, organizational development, change management, talent management, employee engagement, and learning & development.
Her earlier career includes roles at Virtuzone, Doa’a Property Developer, and Standard Chartered Bank, building a strong foundation in HR coordination, business development, and operational excellence.
With extensive experience in strategic HR leadership, succession planning, HR transformation, and workforce management, Sohaili is well positioned to lead CHERY’s people agenda and strengthen its organizational capabilities.
