Central Texas, United States, September 2025 — Christine Simpson has been appointed as Vice President of People & Culture at STARRY, where she will lead initiatives aligned with the organization’s strategic plan. In her new role, she will focus on leadership development, fostering inclusivity, enhancing cross-team collaboration, and building interdepartmental workgroups to drive innovation and strengthen STARRY’s ability to serve staff and clients effectively.
Simpson most recently served as Executive Director of Operations and Philanthropy at STARRY, where she oversaw operations while advancing philanthropic initiatives that supported the organization’s mission. During this period, she played a key role in strengthening policies, training, and development frameworks that contributed to the growth and sustainability of STARRY’s community impact.
Before that, she served as Chair of the Board of Trustees, where she provided governance leadership, strategic oversight, and executive relationship management. Her tenure on the board highlighted her commitment to guiding organizations through transformative change while strengthening accountability and stakeholder engagement.
Earlier in her career, Simpson was an Area Superintendent at Leander Independent School District, one of the largest districts in Texas, where she oversaw leadership and school improvement cycles for over 42,000 students and 47 campuses. Prior to that, she worked for nearly a decade as a Principal within Leander ISD, leading a school community of over 6,000 stakeholders and 120 employees, while driving culture-building, visibility, and student success.
Simpson’s extensive career in education and nonprofit leadership has equipped her with the expertise to drive organizational growth through people-centric strategies. At STARRY, she is expected to build on her past achievements to further strengthen talent development, employee engagement, and a culture of collaboration and care.
