Reston, Virginia, United States, April 2025 – Christopher Lukas has joined Bechtel Corporation as the Global Chief Information Security Officer, marking a significant new chapter in his distinguished cybersecurity career. Based in Reston, Virginia, Christopher will lead Bechtel’s global information security strategy, fortifying the company’s vast operational footprint against evolving cyber threats.
Prior to this, Christopher held multiple leadership roles over 12 years at Chevron, where he most recently served as Global Chief Information Security Officer. In that capacity, he led seven security divisions across cybersecurity operations, risk, privacy, engineering, and more—managing a global cybersecurity workforce of over 400 professionals and overseeing the protection of IT and OT systems in more than 100 countries.

Before becoming CISO, he was General Manager of IT for Chevron’s Downstream and Chemicals business, where he spearheaded digital transformation and drove adoption of data analytics across 23 countries. Earlier, he also served as IT Regional Manager for North America Exploration & Production and Manager of Cyber Threat Analysis and Monitoring, where he built global cyber intelligence centers in Houston and Singapore.
His experience also includes time as Senior Director of Global Intelligence at iSIGHT Partners, Chief of the Cyber Threat Analysis Division at the U.S. Department of State, and various intelligence and cybersecurity leadership roles in the U.S. Navy and ManTech. Across these roles, Christopher has earned recognition for his operational excellence and national-level contributions, including the prestigious Frank B. Rowlett Award by the NSA.
