British Columbia, Canada, April 2025 – Daniel Setiawan has joined Poseidon Ocean Systems as the new Chief Financial Officer, where he will lead the financial strategy and operations for the company’s global aquaculture technology business. He brings over two decades of financial leadership experience across the agribusiness, manufacturing, and aquatech sectors.
Prior to joining Poseidon, Daniel served as the Finance Transformation Lead at South Mill Champs Mushrooms for over a year. In this role, he led major efficiency programs and streamlined reporting processes to enhance financial operations.
Earlier, Daniel was with Cermaq Canada for more than two years, where he started as a Costing and Budgeting Controller and rose to become Financial Controller. He also led a critical ERP implementation project that resulted in multi-million-dollar savings and operational integration across legacy systems.
Before Cermaq, he served as Director at Regal Springs and Vice President at Sinarmas Agribusiness and Food, where he played key roles in optimizing cost structures and driving digital transformation in finance functions. His tenure at Cargill spanned multiple roles, including Director and FP&A Lead, where he contributed to strategic financial planning, divestments, and internal restructuring.
His earlier career includes leadership positions at Bureau Veritas, PT. Sorini Agro Asia Corporindo (Cargill), PT. Adirasa Selaras Abadi, and Bruker Optics, where he led projects ranging from IPO readiness to finance shared services transformation and SAP implementation.
