North, West & Central Region, United Kingdom, February 2026 —Daniella O’Donoghue has started a new position as Head of Human Resources (Capital Delivery – North, West & Central) at Network Rail. In this role, she will lead the HR strategy for Capital Delivery across the North, West & Central region, partnering with senior leaders to support major infrastructure programmes, workforce planning, organisational development and cultural transformation aligned with Network Rail’s vision of “Putting Passengers First.”
Daniella has built a progressive five-year career at Network Rail, steadily advancing through a series of senior HR roles. Most recently, she served as Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Generalist) supporting the Southern Region across Finance, Commercial, Legal, Property, Works Delivery and Change functions, playing a key role in aligning people strategy with business performance.
Prior to that, she was Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Programmes) in the Eastern Region, supporting complex programme environments and driving strategic workforce initiatives. Earlier in her tenure, she held roles as Human Resources Project Manager and Human Resources Business Partner for the East Coast Route (Infrastructure Maintenance), strengthening her expertise in employee relations, operational workforce management and transformation initiatives.
Before joining Network Rail, Daniella worked as a Human Resources Consultant at International Vaccine Institute (IVI) in Seoul, gaining international HR exposure. Her earlier experience includes HR roles at Arriva Trains Wales and OCS Group UK, where she developed strong foundations in HR service delivery and workforce transition support.
Her appointment reflects Network Rail’s continued investment in internal talent development and strengthening HR leadership across its Capital Delivery function.
