Darrel Jacob Appointed as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at The Mac Corp

Karachi Division, Sindh, Pakistan, September 2025 – Darrel Jacob has joined The Mac Corp as Group Chief Human Resources Officer, bringing over two decades of HR leadership experience across diverse industries including power, aviation, FMCG, and financial services. In this group-wide leadership role, Darrel will spearhead the formulation and implementation of integrated HR strategies that align with The Mac Corp’s vision of purpose-driven innovation across its businesses in flexible packaging, sustainability, agritech, and real estate.

Prior to joining The Mac Corp, Darrel Jacob held a series of senior leadership roles at K-Electric for nearly four years, most recently serving as Head of People Excellence. In this role, he led the Centers of Expertise (CoEs) focusing on talent frameworks, organizational design, leadership development, employer branding, total rewards, and people analytics. Earlier at K-Electric, he also served as Head of Organizational Design & HRBP Distribution, and Head of Organizational Transformation, where he played a pivotal role in redesigning KE’s structure in response to evolving power sector dynamics.

Before his second tenure at K-Electric, Darrel was Head of Human Resources – Pakistan at dnata, overseeing HR operations for a workforce of 2,500 employees across seven international airports. During this three-year tenure, he led all HR, L&D, IR, legal, and OD functions in one of Pakistan’s largest aviation companies.

Darrel also spent over seven years with the IFFCO Group in the UAE, where he held multiple leadership roles including HR Lead – Personal Care Business and Associate Manager – Corporate HR for Edible Oil & Industrial Fats. His portfolio covered HR operations across 24 countries, including assignments in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and involvement in multiple greenfield projects.

He began his career at ORIX Leasing Pakistan Ltd, where he steadily rose through the ranks over nearly six years, gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, OD, employee services, and HR policy development. This foundational period cemented his deep understanding of HR operations and strategic alignment.
