London, United Kingdom, November 2025 — David Churchill has started a new position as Chief People Officer at Version 1, where he will lead the organisation’s global people strategy across its rapidly expanding workforce. In this role, he will be responsible for strengthening talent capabilities, advancing leadership development, and ensuring that Version 1’s people practices continue to support innovation, customer success, and sustainable transformation across its global footprint.
David Churchill joins Version 1 after spending more than nine years as Chief People Officer at Endava, where he played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s people agenda. During his tenure, he was instrumental in shaping talent strategy, enabling organisational growth, and partnering with global leadership teams across multiple geographies to strengthen culture, capability, and organisational performance. His work at Endava positioned the company as a global leader in digital transformation supported by a strong, people-centred philosophy.
Before Endava, Churchill served as Head of HR at Arqiva for over two years, where he partnered closely with the MD Satellite, senior leadership teams, and the CFO organisation. His work focused on organisational alignment, transformation support, capability enhancement, and ensuring that strategic HR priorities enabled business delivery in a dynamic and evolving engineering and technology environment.
Earlier in his career, he worked for nearly six years at BT Group, first as Chairman & Chief Executive Office, 1st Line Manager, then as HR Performance Management Specialist, and finally as HR Business Partner supporting CIOs and large-scale technology and retail operations. His experience at BT included leadership coaching at CIO levels, capability gap assessments, organisational design, high-performance culture building, employee lifecycle management, and performance advisory for teams of up to 7,000 employees. He progressed from HR Manager to Senior HR Manager during his time at BT, reflecting his strong people leadership and strategic contribution.
At the beginning of his career, Churchill spent close to three years at Carillion, where he managed large-scale projects for BT Property and Telereal. His work included end-to-end project management, client engagement, vendor coordination, and delivery of variable works within major facilities management contracts—experience that strengthened his operational, execution, and stakeholder management skills early in his professional journey.
