Austin, Texas, United States, August 2024 – David Dean has taken on the role of Director of People & Culture at Upbring. In this position, David will lead initiatives in performance management, talent acquisition, and organizational culture, ensuring that Upbring continues to foster a supportive and engaging environment for its employees.
Prior to this promotion, David served as Director of People Relations & Culture at Upbring for nearly two years. In this role, he was instrumental in driving organizational development, performance management, and talent acquisition strategies that enhanced employee engagement and strengthened the company’s culture.
Before that, David was the Director of Employee Engagement and Culture at Upbring, where he focused on recruitment marketing and the development of a cohesive organizational culture. His efforts in these areas played a crucial role in aligning the company’s values with its operational practices.
Earlier in his tenure at Upbring, David held the position of Culture and Engagement Manager, where he led initiatives to boost employee inclusion and engagement. His work in this role laid the groundwork for the cultural transformations he would later spearhead in higher leadership positions.
David’s earlier experiences include roles such as Insurance Specialist at State Farm, where he managed property, casualty, and life insurance portfolios, and Senior Leader in the US Army, where he honed his leadership skills over a 20-year career in various high-stakes environments, including combat operations and human resource management.
