Dr. Lakshmi Murthy brings nearly three decades of experience, most recently serving as Chief People Officer at ITM Group of Institutions, where she played a pivotal role in shaping organizational culture, enabling strategic HR transformation, and fostering professional work environments across the group’s institutions. Her leadership in HR has been foundational in supporting institutional growth, driving employee engagement, and enabling seamless C-suite transitions.

In her new capacity as Pro Vice Chancellor, Dr. Murthy will lead academic-business integration, enhance institutional partnerships, and drive outcome-focused strategies for growth and innovation. Her shift into this business-centric role is a testament to the mentoring and support she received under the guidance of Ramana Putcha and Nitin Putcha, and underscores the university’s faith in internal leadership development.

Before her decade-long tenure at ITM, Dr. Murthy held senior roles across various organizations including V2 Solutions, SYSTIME (now KPIT), Zycus, and Patni, where she led initiatives spanning talent acquisition, organizational development, training, and resource optimization. Her experience also includes content development, change management, and implementing learning systems for large-scale organizations.

A recognized thought leader in HR, Dr. Murthy has been instrumental in securing several awards and recognitions for her previous organizations, including the Great Place to Work distinction. She has consistently driven people-focused transformation with a sharp business lens, a capability that will now shape her approach in this expanded leadership role at ITM University, Raipur.
