Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, September 2025 – Dr. Moataz BinAli has been appointed as the Chief Business Officer, AI Ventures at Trend Micro, marking a strategic expansion of the company’s executive leadership team. In his new role, Dr. BinAli will lead Trend Micro’s next-generation artificial intelligence initiatives, focusing on innovation, incubation, and commercialization of AI-driven solutions across enterprise cybersecurity and adjacent markets.
Before stepping into this global leadership role, Dr. Moataz BinAli served as Senior Special Advisor to a confidential government body and concurrently held the position of Group Chief Executive Officer for a confidential semi-government entity in Riyadh. During this time, he contributed significantly to national digital transformation strategies and public-private partnerships.
Previously, Dr. BinAli held progressive leadership roles at Trend Micro, including Senior Regional VP & MD for the Mediterranean, Middle East, Eurasia & Africa (MMEA), Regional VP & MD for Middle East & Africa, and VP & MD for Middle East & North Africa (MENA), over a span of 7+ years. His exceptional stewardship led to exponential growth, deepened government engagements, and the launch of regional cybersecurity ecosystems across critical markets.
Prior to joining Trend Micro, he was the Senior Industry Director at SAP for MENA Public Services, and earlier served as Head of Public Sector Group at IBM Saudi Arabia, managing government, healthcare, and education portfolios. He also held senior roles at Microsoft, leading enterprise and territory development across Telco, Banking, Education, and Government sectors.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Dr. BinAli has served on the Board of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) and the German-Saudi Arabian Liaison Office for Economic Affairs (GESALO), underscoring his global business diplomacy and policy influence.
