United Arab Emirates, December 2025 — Edwin Botha has been appointed as Executive Director – People & Culture at Wynn Al Marjan Island, the UAE’s first integrated resort scheduled to open in 2027. In his new role, Botha will lead the people, culture, rewards, and workforce architecture for one of the most ambitious hospitality developments in the Middle East, supporting large-scale talent mobilisation, leadership capability building, and culture integration for the upcoming integrated resort ecosystem.
Most recently, Botha served as Senior Manager, Rewards – India, Middle East & Africa at IHG Hotels & Resorts for over two years, where he led regional compensation, benefits, rewards strategy, and governance across multiple high-growth hospitality markets, enabling workforce competitiveness, retention, and scalable people systems.
Prior to IHG, he was Corporate Director of Human Resources at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC for over two years, where he led group-level HR governance, organizational development, and people transformation initiatives across Rotana’s extensive hospitality portfolio in the Middle East.
Earlier, Botha served as Manager, Compensation & Benefits at Atlantis Resorts, strengthening compensation governance, rewards frameworks, and workforce competitiveness in one of the region’s most iconic luxury hospitality brands.
He spent over six years at Rotana Hotels in progressively senior HR leadership roles, including Corporate Human Resources Manager, Compensation and Benefits Manager, HR Generalist, and HR Officer—building deep expertise in end-to-end HR operations, organizational effectiveness, rewards strategy, and workforce administration.
He began his HR career at One to One Hotels – The Village, where he worked as a Human Resources Administrator, gaining foundational exposure to hospitality workforce operations and employee lifecycle management.
