Milano, Lombardia, Italy, March 2025 – Eleonora Sirtori has been appointed as Head of People and Plans Journey at Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026. In this role, she will focus on strategic workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development, ensuring the successful execution of people initiatives for the upcoming XXV Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2026.
Sirtori has been with Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 for over a year, previously serving as PMO Planning & Coordination. In this role, she worked closely with the Planning & Coordination Office, as well as functional area directors, to establish project management frameworks, enhance communication strategies, and implement structured processes for smooth operational execution. Her contributions were instrumental in risk mitigation, progress tracking, and interdepartmental alignment.
Prior to joining the foundation, she spent over two years at UEFA, where she worked as a UEFA EURO 2020 Venue Operations Training Specialist. She played a key role in ensuring the streamlined function of venue operations, strategic program development, and training for event teams. Additionally, she served as a Match Manager Assistant for UEFA EURO 2020 in Rome, coordinating matchday operations, communication between teams and referees, and logistics management.
Before UEFA, Sirtori was with Costa Crociere S.p.A. as a Training and Business Development Specialist, where she led staff and organizational development initiatives. She played a key role in consulting with leadership to define vision, objectives, and training roadmaps for the company’s workforce. Earlier in her career, she worked on EXPO 2015 Milan, serving as Deputy Director and Venue Operations Manager of the UK Pavilion, where she managed daily operations, logistics, and administrative functions.
Her extensive experience in global sporting events and hospitality operations includes leadership roles with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Qatar Olympic Committee, Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, and the London 2012 Olympic Games. Across these roles, she has been responsible for spectator services, venue operations, and project coordination, making her well-equipped to drive people operations for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
