Perth, Western Australia, February 2026 —Emma Avison (MAHRI) has started a new position as Head of Human Resources at SwanCare. In this role, she will lead the organisation’s people strategy, workforce development, employee engagement and culture initiatives, supporting SwanCare’s mission as one of Western Australia’s leading providers of retirement living and residential aged care services.
Prior to joining SwanCare, Emma served as General Manager, People and Diversity at Good Sammy Enterprises, where she led people and diversity strategies across the organisation, strengthening inclusion frameworks and workforce capability.
Before that, she was People and Culture Manager at Hope Community Services Ltd, following an earlier tenure with the same organisation as Human Resources Manager. Across these roles, she played a key role in organisational development, employee relations and strengthening HR governance within the community services sector.
Emma also held the position of People and Culture Advisor at BaptistCare, further building her experience within the aged care and community services landscape. Earlier in her career, she worked with Branston Ltd, Longhurst Group in the United Kingdom, OUTCARE INC, and Anglicare WA, developing broad HR leadership expertise across not-for-profit, housing, and social services environments.
Her appointment reflects SwanCare’s continued focus on strengthening its people leadership capability to support its workforce of over 500 staff and the growing needs of its retirement and aged care communities.

The organisation administers WA’s largest single-site retirement living and residential aged care community at Bentley Park, as well as its sister site at Australind Rise.
