Hyderabad, Telangana, India, April 2025 – Granules India Limited has announced the successful acquisition of Switzerland-based Senn Chemicals AG, a reputed Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in peptide development and manufacturing. This strategic acquisition marks Granules India’s entry into the specialized peptide therapeutics market, reinforcing its transformation into a global innovation-led pharmaceutical powerhouse.

Commenting on the milestone, Priyanka Chigurupati, Executive Director, Granules India Limited, said, “Happy to have Senn Chemicals AG join the Granules family! A strategic move that will deepen our CDMO play and advance our position in complex therapeutics.”

With over six decades of expertise, Senn Chemicals AG brings advanced capabilities in Liquid Phase Peptide Synthesis (LPPS) and Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS). The Swiss company has a strong presence across regulated markets and long-standing customer relationships, along with a robust scientific foundation. The combined strengths of the two companies are expected to accelerate the development of next-generation peptide-based treatments, including promising GLP-1 receptor agonists and other complex APIs.
