Surat, Gujarat, India, January 2026 — Himanshu Roy has taken on a new role as Head of Talent Acquisition at KP Group. In this position, he will lead the group’s talent acquisition strategy, strengthening workforce planning, leadership hiring, and scalable recruitment frameworks to support KP Group’s rapidly expanding operations across renewable energy and diversified businesses.
In his new mandate, Himanshu Roy will work closely with business and leadership teams to align talent strategy with the Group’s growth plans, with a strong focus on building future-ready capabilities across geographies and business verticals.
Prior to joining KP Group, Himanshu Roy served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Renefra Energy, where he led HR strategy across India and the US for nearly six years. In this role, he was responsible for organisation design, leadership development, talent management, and building people practices aligned with business scale-up in the clean energy sector.
Earlier, he held the role of Head of Talent Acquisition at SB Energy (SoftBank Group), driving leadership and critical hiring for large-scale renewable energy projects across India.
Before that, he spent over four years with Azure Power India Private Limited as Head – Talent Acquisition, where he built robust hiring frameworks to support rapid project expansion and organisational growth.
His earlier career includes HR leadership roles with ACME Solar Energy Private Limited – EDF ENR, where he worked as Manager – Corporate HR, leading pan-India recruitment, manpower planning, organisation restructuring, HR audits, SAP HR implementation, and talent strategy. He also served as Assistant Manager – Corporate HR at GHCL Limited, supporting bulk hiring, performance management systems, OD initiatives, and leadership pipeline development.
He began his HR career with Akzo Nobel India Limited as Business HR, and earlier with Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited as Senior Officer – HR, building a strong foundation in plant HR, talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation benchmarking, and SAP HR.
