Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 – Hiral Sonpal has joined BNP Paribas as Vice President – Talent Acquisition, marking a significant step in her human resources leadership journey. In her new role, Hiral will be instrumental in driving the bank’s talent acquisition strategies in India, aligning with BNP Paribas’s global HR objectives to support sustainable growth and organizational excellence.
Before joining BNP Paribas, Hiral was associated with Citi India for over three years in the Human Resources function. Her work contributed to advancing the firm’s talent development and acquisition initiatives in a dynamic financial services landscape.
Earlier, Hiral served with Nomura for more than two years, where she held key responsibilities within the Human Resources team. Based in Mumbai, she played a role in supporting strategic HR programs and recruitment operations aligned with business priorities.
Hiral also spent close to eight years at Morgan Stanley, where she gained deep domain experience in financial services HR. Her tenure covered various facets of human resources, including recruitment, HR operations, and business partnering, establishing her as a trusted professional in the industry.
She began her HR career at Ru Consultancy, where she worked for nearly two years in executive search and recruitment. This foundational experience enabled her to build a strong understanding of talent landscapes and industry demands.
