New York, New York, United States, February 2026 — HPS Investment Partners, LLC has elevated Mark Bugniazet to Executive Director, effective February 2026.
In his new role, Bugniazet will continue to contribute to HPS’ investment platform, driving value across credit and specialty lending strategies. His elevation reflects strong performance and leadership within the firm’s investment management structure.
Bugniazet has been with HPS Investment Partners, LLC for over three years. He most recently served as Vice President within the Specialty Loan Fund, where he played a key role in investment execution, portfolio management, and capital deployment strategies. Prior to that, he joined the firm as an Associate, steadily progressing through the ranks.
Before HPS, he held multiple roles at Barings, including Associate Director and Associate within the Global Private Finance platform, contributing to private credit transactions and structured financing initiatives. He began his career in investment banking at Regions Bank, focusing on Technology, Media & Communications, and earlier completed a summer analyst program with Citi in Securities Services.
With experience spanning private credit, specialty lending, leveraged finance, and structured capital solutions, Bugniazet brings strong analytical rigor and execution capability to his expanded leadership responsibilities at HPS.
