Singapore, September 2025 — Isobel Hughes has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at BECIS – Energy as a Service, where she will lead the company’s global people strategy, talent development, and organizational culture as it continues its expansion across Asia and beyond.
Isobel brings with her nearly two decades of experience in human resources leadership across energy and infrastructure sectors. She most recently took a career break from May 2024 to September 2025, before joining BECIS.
Previously, she was Director, Energy & Infrastructure at Actis, based in London and Nairobi, where she contributed for five years to the firm’s private equity investments in global energy and infrastructure portfolios, providing HR and stakeholder expertise to complex, cross-border projects.
Prior to Actis, she served as Vice President, Human Resources at Lekela Power, an Infinity Power company, from 2015 to 2019. During this time, she played a crucial role in shaping HR frameworks and aligning people practices with the company’s renewable energy growth strategy.
Earlier, Isobel spent more than nine years with Globeleq, holding multiple leadership roles including Vice President, Human Resources, Manager, Human Resources, and Associate, Human Resources. Her contributions spanned talent acquisition, leadership development, and stakeholder management across global markets, further solidifying her expertise in HR transformation within the energy industry.
