New York, New York, United States, July 2025 — Jake Lilie has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer at Baron Capital, marking a pivotal leadership addition for the asset management firm as it continues to scale its digital and operational capabilities. In this strategic role, Jake will oversee the firm’s technology strategy, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity roadmap, playing a key part in supporting the firm’s long-term growth and client experience goals.
Jake joins Baron Capital after a distinguished tenure at Alger, where he spent nearly a decade in leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, driving enterprise-wide technology transformation, data security enhancements, and business-aligned digital initiatives. Prior to that, he held the dual role of Vice President, Head of IT and Chief Information Security Officer, where he established robust IT governance frameworks and built a resilient security posture across the organization.
Earlier in his career, Jake spent four years at The Riverside Company, where he rose to become Director of IT Operations. His contributions included leading operational modernization and IT infrastructure integration across the firm’s global footprint. Before that, he held the role of Regional Director at Dynamic Data, Inc, managing large-scale IT service delivery for over a decade.
Jake began his career in network administration at TRW (now ZF Group) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management & Information Systems from Kent State University.
At Baron Capital, Jake is expected to lead next-generation innovation across digital platforms, data security, and infrastructure scalability—enhancing the firm’s ability to serve institutional and retail investors with greater agility and resilience.
