Joe Depa Named EY Global Chief Innovation Officer

London, United Kingdom, November 2024 – The EY organization has appointed Joe Depa as its Global Chief Innovation Officer, effective immediately. In this pivotal role, Depa will lead the organization’s global innovation strategy, focusing on leveraging emerging technologies like AI, quantum computing, and blockchain to enhance service delivery and address complex business challenges.

Depa’s appointment comes as industries face rapid technological advancements that demand innovative approaches. His leadership will steer the EY organization’s efforts to translate cutting-edge technologies into actionable business solutions, both internally and for EY clients worldwide.

With over a decade of experience collaborating with C-suite executives and boards, Depa has consistently driven innovation to market, enhanced client experiences, and streamlined operational efficiencies. He previously served as Chief Data and AI Officer at a leading university and healthcare organization, where he championed AI literacy, launched a responsible AI governance program, and established a secure data foundation.

Before this, Depa led as Senior Managing Director and Global Lead for Data and AI at a multinational professional services firm, where he directed AI strategists and data engineers in the development of transformative products and services.
