Beirut, Lebanon, January 2026 — Joëlle Massaad has joined Algorithm Pharmaceutical Manufacturers as Head of People & Culture, bringing extensive regional and multinational human resources leadership experience across the FMCG, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and non-profit sectors.
In her new role, Joëlle Massaad will lead the People & Culture function at Algorithm Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, supporting the organization’s growth across the MENA region while strengthening its culture, talent strategy, and people-first practices aligned with its core values of trust, integrity, responsibility, and excellence.
Prior to this appointment, she spent over five years at Unilever, where she held several senior HR leadership roles across North Africa, the Levant, and Iraq. Most recently, she served as Head of HR for Unilever Levant & Iraq, Talent Manager for North Africa, and Change Management Lead, overseeing complex, multi-market HR transformations. Earlier roles at Unilever included leading employer branding, equity, diversity and inclusion, and serving as HR Lead for Egypt, the Levant, and Iraq.
Before Unilever, Joëlle Massaad held leadership positions across diverse organizations, including Zaatar W Zeit, Caritas Lebanon, and Zimmer Biomet, where she played a key role in culture shaping, post-merger integration, and operational excellence across MENA, Greece, and the Balkans. Earlier in her career, she spent five years at Procter & Gamble, gaining strong foundations in supply planning, demand management, and cross-functional operations, and began her professional journey at Crepaway Holding SAL in operations and training roles.
